I learned how to bounce back from menopause and I’m here to help you do it, too!

Feeling like you’re not in control of your own body is frustrating to say the least and not being able to stop this process can be terrifying. Seeing major changes in your weight, mood, and appearance, not understanding why this is happening and not being able to do anything about it can feel paralyzing.

I know you want nothing more than to feel like yourself, but you’ve been struggling for far too long.

All about me

The story doesn’t stop here, because you dream of a pain free day where you feel energized, sexy, strong, and healthy

But in reality, you feel:

 TIRED – It’s all you can do to make it through the day without falling asleep at your desk or dozing off on the couch, and you have zero energy to engage in the activities you love!● SICK – Your digestion is a mess, your joints and muscles ache, and you have a long list of symptoms including headaches, allergies, rashes and other issues that are holding you back from enjoying your life!

 FRUSTRATED – You’ve tried countless diets, and nothing works. Every diet leaves you feeling hungry, deprived, and cranky, and if you “cheat”, you feel guilty and angry with yourself.

 DOWN – You want to feel body positive, but deep down, you hate how you look. Your clothes don’t fit right, you dread occasions where you have to dress up, and some days, you just wonder how you let yourself go.

I know you feel alone, scared and frustrated, but you’re not alone! 

I know this because I’ve been EXACTLY where you are right now.

But there IS hope to get better, and there’s no way we surrender to sitting out on the sidelines!

I was enjoying a career in the fitness industry for over 20 years. helping both men and women lose weight and get into the best shape of their lives.

I thought I was at my peak of health and fitness when I developed a fibroid which led me to have to undergo a hysterectomy.

Enter MENOPAUSE…

I have one word to describe my experience of surgically induced menopause …”BRUTAL”!

Hitting Rock bottom!

From amazing to miserable in .03 seconds.

I went from being a fitness trainer who felt strong, confident, healthy, and fit, to being overweight and exhausted all the time.

Night sweats. Hot flashes. My hair’s coming out, and I’m upset and stressed all the time. A year into this, I look in the mirror, but I don’t recognize the woman looking back at me.

I’m bigger. 40 lbs. bigger and hating my body. Worse, it looks like I’ve aged 10 years.

I don’t understand what’s happening to me and I feel completely lost and confused.

Making a choice

I realized that I was no longer the person i had dreamed of being. i was no longer living my life

I refused to beleive that this was my new reality now. I had to do something, anything to look and feel like my old self again. Because of my history with cancer, I wanted a holistic approach to my menopause symptoms. The doctors I went to see for help, had no answers or relief.

With my fitness background and my training in Holistic Nutrition and Health, I thought that I would surely be able to lift myself out of the meno-slump. But what use to work to stay fit and healthy in my past, clearly wasn’t working anymore.

I started doing extensive research on my symptoms, and  indepth learning about the endocrine system, and I found that hormone imbalance led to every single symptom that I was experiencing.

The transformation!

I had to completely transform the way I was going about my health, starting with understanding the role that food and lifestyle played in my hormone health.

I needed to support and protect the systems in my body like my liver and gut that help remove the toxins I was exposed to in my food and home. These toxins and chemicals were harming my body and were at the root of my homonal issues. I focused on nourishing myself with the nutrients and vitamins my body needed and some lifestye changes to truly thrive.

Step-by-step, I started to find appropriate responses to the changes in my body. I was dropping pounds naturally without starving or feeling hungry. Even better, I felt INCREDIBLE – I had less anxiety, I was sleeping better and I had ENERGY! I became inspired and excited again about life and living it to the fullest.

Starting a new way of life happens one healthy habit at a time with loads of support.

I didn’t do this alone. The truth is that after failing to get a handle on my changing body a time and time again along with all of the hormonal changes that I was going through, I felt so alone, so desperate, and so in need of support.

I yearned for someone to keep me accountable and to encourage my efforts on my darkest days. I required someone I could count on to help me achieve the right mindset so that I didn’t give up when I became depressed, stressed or overwhelmed. Perhaps most importantly, I needed someone to remind me to love myself no matter how I felt about myself – because the journey to wellness starts with self love.

Now, if I know one thing for sure…

It’s that understanding menopause, and how it relates with our havoc-wreaking hormones can be complex, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t have to go through this alone.

My experience was difficult but it changed my life in wonderful ways, and now, I’m on a path to help others! I want to help you enjoy the hormone health I discovered so you can live a life of joy, energy, and vibrancy.

In the begining, to help me find the best solutions to my own  menopausal symptoms, I enrolled at the Alive Academy of Natural Health and the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology so I could learn as much as I could about nutrition, hormones and our endocrine system.

Now as a certified health coach, I not only have the passion and  experience to support you on your own personal journey, but I also have the knowledge to help YOU maintain hormonal balance, live a healthy life and lose weight for good.
